A room can look correct on screen while its dimensions, openings, ceiling height, orientation, or relationship to adjacent spaces is wrong. The check is what turns a drawing into a dependable estimating model.
Parrot Key uses controlled-room drills so students can compare the finished sketch with known dimensions and identify exactly where an error entered the process.
Usually the sketch and room properties should be dependable before quantities derived from them are trusted. A team may choose a different sequence, but it must include a clear verification point.
